See if you can find any women among your friends, community, or church who have beaten depression, and seek their counsel. Find a local therapy group or support group where you can interact with other depressed women and help each other. Groups on the Internet are less personal, but they can feel more comfortable, especially if you are hesitant or shy. See Appendix A, Resources, for ways to contact other women for mutual support. It can be invaluable to share your troubles and sorrows with someone who’s going through the same experiences.
